Drug Asthma


Abstract
Aspirin, therapeutic serum and vaccines, diagnostic and therapeutic allergen extracts, antibiotics e.g. penicilline, organ extracts, enzymal preparations and pyrazolone agents have been enumerated as the main drugs able to induce bronchial asthma.
Literaturally furthermore sulfa drugs, reserpin, indomethacin, quinidine, procainamide, nitrofurantoin, propranolol etc. have been reported as the cause of asthma. In this review otherwise the definition, symptom, incidence, laboratory findings, pathogenesis and mechanisms of drug asthma have been discussed.
